What is your demo tape policy?
We do not accept unsolicited demo tapes. Sorry. But we just don't have the resources, or staff, to do so.

What does "unsolicited" mean?
As you've probably figured out, the word "unsolicited", as used in our demo tape policy, means "not asked for". We know there are great bands out there that we don't know about & that your band may be one of them but unfortunately there are not enough hours in the day for us to even get through all the music brought to us though co-workers, friends, bands on our label etc.

How many people work at Sub Pop?

Show some initiative, dammit! when we were kids, we made our own t-shirts with magic markers and kitchen midden. And we could only do it by candle-light because no one could afford to pay for sunlight back then, let me tell you....

I heard that Sub Pop went out of business. Is this true?
If we were out of business do you think that we would be spending all this money keeping a website up and answering your questions?
